PRAYER Rx --- September 17
Dear Lord, how can I be strong enough to stand for You, and for my Christian principles? Remind me that as it is recorded in John 15:1(ff), You said: "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser. ... As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless You abide in Me; ... If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. ... By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. ... These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy be made full!" ... Only by staying attached to the vine, connected to Your life sustaining nourishment, only then will I discover Your guidance, and my strength to live out Your will. Only then can my life bear "fruit," recognizable for all to see, and only then can I be Your witness in a fractured world. It's You and me Lord; help me to stay close to You.
