PRAYER Rx --- August 13
Dear Lord, although some Christians may achieve greatness as leaders, the growth of Christianity has always depended on individuals catching the vision. Help me to be sensitive to the opportunities available to me to act out Your love, Your compassion and concerns for others that I may reflect Your amazing grace. For often it is in the little things -- holding a door for someone, lending a helping hand, giving words of encouragement or appreciation that I best represent You. ... Help us, Oh Lord, who call ourselves Your followers, who believe Your message, to remember that we may be the first "gospel in action" that some have ever encountered. ... When the timing is right, give me the words to tell someone about You!
