PRAYER Rx --- July 30
Dear Lord, in these days when it is difficult to publicly acknowledge my Christian faith, when at times, some "Christians" find it easier to water down their faith and are willing to define "love" as accepting "other gods" as equal to You, give me courage. Give me wisdom to delve more deeply into Your Word, to seek the Holy Spirit's guidance that I may know Your truth. ... Open my eyes that You may reveal to me an understanding of Your justice -- that You alone are sovereign, and that we are to have no other God but You! Your justice is fair, for You do indeed punish sinners as You have said You would, while Your mercy is voluntary, for You alone understand the "heart." ... Teach me, O Lord, and help me to bring my heart into alignment with Your will.
