PRAYER Rx --- June 12
Dear Lord, remind me that as a Christian I need to take time to put myself in another's situation before I form an opinion or criticize. ... Let me first ask myself how I would feel if I were faced with a serious illness, or prolonged unemployment, or had to deal with a wayward son or daughter. How would I react if I were wrongly accused of a crime that I didn't commit? ... Before I make a hurried judgment, let me first ask myself, "Would I have joined the crowd in Jerusalem and shouted, 'Crucify! Crucify!'?" ... Help me to remember that You taught understanding, compassion, love for one's neighbor, and even for one's enemy. Help me, Lord, lest I forget; for I too am not without sin.
