PRAYER Rx --- October 15
Dear Heavenly Father, as we continue to reflect on the way to encourage virtuous living among ourselves, help us to see that it must be rooted in parental example and teaching - right from wrong, respect for life and for others, and respect for the law. This must be expressed in good manners, and in lending a helping hand to someone in need. These attitudes and actions must be reinforced in our schools. ... Only then, when we adults, youth, and children act responsibly can we restore safety to our neighborhoods, our streets, and our homes! Only then can we live and enjoy real freedom! ... Only then, when we honor and restore virtuous living can we ask and expect You to bless our nation. Only then can we truly be "one nation under God, of the people, by the people, and for the people." Help us, Lord, for we are becoming numb to our sins, and deaf to Your teachings.
